Interreg NWE projects - save the date! Webinar on the 2nd call for capitalisation
With the aim to present all detailed aspects of the 2nd call for capitalisation, the NWE Programme will host a webinar on 5th November 2020.
The event is addressed to all NWE approved projects eligible for this call. External organisations interested in joining an existing project for a capitalisation initiative may also participate.
The agenda will cover the terms of reference, including how to apply, assessment criteria and examples of successful initiatives from the first capitalisation call.
Registration will be free of charge, but mandatory.
The detailed programme and information on how to join will be available after summer on the Interreg NWE website.
How can Europe become greener & more inclusive? Join the NWE sessions during EU Regions Week
The 2020 EU Week of Regions & Cities, Brussel’s biggest annual event dedicated to regional policy is themed “Restart. Europe. Together”. In its 18th year, the event will take place over three weeks due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Interreg NWE and some of its projects will take part in the following sessions:
Week 05 > 09 October: Empowering Citizens
- Empowering Europe's vulnerable youth!
Week 19 > 22 October: Green Europe
- Closing the loop in the textile industry
- Can e-waste go circular?
- Partnerships for Renewable Energy Region

The Southern Regional Assembly is the national contact point for the Interreg NWE programme in Ireland.
Consultation Workshop on Future of EU Cohesion Funds in Ireland
Stakeholders have an opportunity to express their views at a consultation workshop scheduled for 28 July 2020, conducted virtually using Zoom.
The workshop will consist of one main session followed by three consecutive workshops. Chaired jointly by DPER and the DES, the purpose of the main workshop is to inform participants of the EU proposals for 2021- 2027 and the preparation process in Ireland so far.
The workshops will seek views on how needs at a national and regional level can be best addressed by the Funds and aim to identify the priorities for investment and highlight potential projects/activities. The workshops will be organised on a regional basis and will include a focus on the main priorities of the individual Regional Spatial & Economic Strategies (RSES).
