RSES Strategic Environmental Assessment Scoping
Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) Draft Scoping Report for the Regional Spatial and Economic Strategy (RSES) for the Southern Region (SR)
The Southern Regional Assembly is currently preparing the Regional Spatial and Economic Strategy (RSES) for the Southern Region (SR). The objective of the RSES is to support the implementation of the emerging National Planning Framework – Ireland 2040 and the economic policies and objectives of the Government by providing a long-term planning and economic framework which is consistent with the NPF and the economic policies or objectives of the Government.
RPS has been appointed on behalf of the Southern Regional Assembly to carry out the Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) on the RSES in accordance with S.I. No. 436 of 2004 as amended and S.I. 600 of 2001, as amended.
In this stage of the scoping process, through the statutory consultations, SRA is looking to establish the range of environmental issues and the level of detail to be included in the Environmental Report for the RSES.
