We cordially invite you to attend ENCORE 2021, the Environmental Conference of the Regions of Europe which is being hosted ‘virtually’ by the Eastern and Midland Regional Assembly on 23 and 24 September 2021.

ENCORE 2021 will focus on the core themes of Climate Action, Ecosystem Services and Circular Economy for a Green and Sustainable Transition.

The ENCORE network provides a platform for regional politicians, youth representatives and other stakeholders to discuss environmental issues of regional significance and facilitate cooperation and exchange of experience. At ENCORE 2021, Member Regions will sign the ‘Tullamore Declaration’, a common position which will allow them to effectively exert their collective influence on the formulation of environmental policy within the European Union, as well as their national and regional contexts.

ENCORE 2021 is free to attend and will be moderated by Dr Tara Shine who is a world renowned environmental scientist, policy advisor and science communicator. In addition to networking sessions (23^rd and 24^th September) and the main political event (24^th September), delegates will receive an address from Ms. Mairead McGuinness, Ireland's European Commissioner who has responsibility for Financial Stability, Financial Services and the Capital Markets Union, and a presentation from our YouthCORE delegates.

As part of ENCORE 2021, we are building a Virtual Exhibition Space which will showcase inspiring projects and initiatives which respond to the conference themes of Climate Action, Ecosystem Services and Circular Economy for a Green and Sustainable Transition. If you are involved in or are aware of any projects or initiatives in your Region which could contribute to the Virtual Exhibition Space, we would be delighted to feature short videos, posters or infographics.

• Videos can be submitted in MP4 format or as public links to YouTube or Vimeo.
• Infographics and posters can be submitted in PDF format.

Please send any such materials to encore2021@abbey.ie by 31 August with the subject line: ENCORE Virtual Gallery. Please also provide the name of the project/initiative and a short description.
