The Institute of European & International Affairs (IIEA) invite you to join a webinar address by Elisa Ferreira, European Commissioner for Cohesion and Reforms. This event will take place on Tuesday, 8 June at 2.00p.m. 

In her address to the IIEA, Commissioner Ferreira will outline three main priorities of the EU’s cohesion policy with respect to Ireland. Firstly, she will assess the measures that the EU can take to support Ireland as it transitions to net-zero emissions and seeks to incorporate a greater share of onshore and offshore wind in its renewable energy mix. Secondly, the Commissioner will address the social consequences of Brexit for Ireland and will consider the role of the future ‘Brexit Adjustment Reserve’. Finally, she will emphasise the European Commission’s determination to facilitate the early start of the PEACE Plus Programme between the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.
