Assembly Celebrates International Women’s Day 2019
The Southern Regional Assembly is proudly celebrating International Women’s Day by acknowledging the work of its predominantly female staff working across a variety of roles within the organisation. The strong and extensive wealth of female staff across all sections of the Assembly helps to give it a broader perspective and make it a modern and more open organisation.
The 17 female staff members bring strong leadership, energy, dedication and creativity to the Assembly’s team across a number of key functions: Derville Brennan, Róisín Kiely, Rita McGarvey, Susan Lee, Marie Harnett, Yvonne Cooney, Rose Power, Karen Coughlan, Samantha Richardson, Breda Curran, Eve Hayden, Edel Hunt, Siobhán Rudden, Sharon Murray, Yvonne O’Brien, Elaine Gallagher and Joanne Twomey.
The Assembly would also like to acknowledge the female Assembly Members: Cllr Deirdre Forde, Cork County Council and Committee of the Region’s member; Cllr Deirdre O’Brien, Cork County Council and Cllr Mary Shields, Cork City Council and Committee of the Regions Alternate Member.
